Subject: Good!
Hey you below, if you can't get into UM jams then don't bother writing a review and bringing the rating down. Although the DVD leaves out alot of songs it's still worth buying, Jake goes insane on The Crooked One, and Bayliss goes crazy on 2nd Self, and my favorite was Ophelia.

Subject: DVD
This show is amazing and i believe it is one of umphrey's best to date. I have a question if anyone knows it...why do they cut out certain songs from the show from the dvd? There is no jajunk or most of the 3rd and 4th disc

Subject: Awesome Concert, Lets Learn to Spell
This show is absolutely amazing. I dream of going to see an Umphrey's New Years concert. I would recommend downloading the 12th podcast from umphreys.com, as it features many of these songs in very high quality. Disregard people who say they look for the very best, yet spell like the very worst. Lets get it together.

Subject: What the?????????
Thi Show seems ool, but there is one thing that makes it seem shitty from the get-go. There is no segue of any kind at all between sanfran and sociable jimmy, unless you consider stopping in between songs to be a segueway. COME ON GUYS LET'S GET THIS SHIT TOGETHER!!!! I love Umphrey's, but these reviews are way to kiss ass. I have to have the highest of expectations of any band with this much potential

Subject: Sick
This was my first Umphreys show and it was amazing. The crowd had so much energy and when the opening notes to Divisions came on me and the whole crowd knew that this would be a hell of a show. There was also some really good covers. This show worth buying if possible so you can get the good sound quality.

Subject: sound quality
look guys, the the sound quality was not the taper's fault, It's the location of the taping section. I'm a taper too and my tape doesn't sound any better. That's because the Riviera's taping section is right under the balcony. that means that you are only hearing 30% of the soundwaves coming from the speakers. The only way to get a good recording at the RIV is to either 1) RECORD from the balcony
2) patch into the source (soundboard)
so quit rippin on the sound. it's a lot better that som 1960's analog DEAD shows! and I doubt you critics of sound could have done any better.

Subject: Dope show, crowd should die!
See first review of this show. Anyone who attended should be shot dead for yapping and/or not encouraging other jerks to shut the F up!

Subject: Great Show
The show was great. I bought the show from disclogic because the quality on this recording isn't great, and i wanted a little better of a keepsake from the show. Great covers with a tribute to The Band's NYE runs. The show is worth getting, but if you want a good quality recording just buy it. It's worth the 10 bucks.

Subject: Good show, Sound quality.......its so-so
This is a really good show, Fantastic, but the sound quality for this show is...well the highs to mids are fine and the lower to sub levels are too but the kick is so loud I mean it over powers everything, just about. Great show, get it, little note. This band is suberb they play so well. They're freakin awsome this is a great band, I would also download the 2003 New Years show its phat.

Subject: get it phreaks!
This was the best show I've ever gone too. Great jams, great covers, the horns and dancers made the night magical. Even if you aren't an umphreak check this show out. I would recommend buying the show if you can find it. I bought it at the show and it was the best 20 I ever spent. (next to the rolls earlier that night..) All around amazing show, can't name highlights b/c the whole show is. Except for nopener of course.. all in all get it! you will be amazed! My condolences to the band, they didn't get to enjoy their night due to a death of a close friend. Props for still getting down to the cruise to rock it

too bad this recording is filled with so much chatter. would be fine otherwise.

Subject: great show poor recording
Unfortunately the tapers seem to have been placed by a side bar. Because there is a ton of chatter and the music is very distant sounding. Unless you are absolutely dying to hear this, wait for a better sounding source OR buy it from disclogic......

FUCK YEA. Great show, wouldn't have expected anything less from the Umphs' on a new year's show....great horn section, hit the spot- great surprise with the covers. (late in the evening, sounded well, fabulous) Great plunger, bright lights, satisfying encore.
